That dependents, Are you refering to 'the good ol' days' of the game, or 'the good ol' days' of my life... Cause i'm not old enough to have 'good ol' days' like a geezer yet. How far did you have to stretch your imagination to try to insult me? That's pretty pathetic, IMO.

What I find amusing about this thread is that almost everything mentioned in it as being better in the "good old days" was actually something that people bitched and moaned about to no end, and things that ANet changed in the game due to popular request.
The five-runs-to-infuse thing is a good example.

Boy Weezer, if you're going to correct someones english, do it right.
The sentence should have read one of two ways

Ahhh, the golden days of Drake Runs.
On average you could pull in 2-3 Golds and 3-5 purps.
I didnt mind doing the Infusion Run 5 times, nor famring for runes, because I made 50k from selling runes I didnt need.
Loved those times.

Ahh... Skill trainers selling almost all skills.. It was like heaven.
I remember all the warriors trying to find out how to get Fur Squares.. Yes, there was no Calissa Sedgewick. Expert a Charr Hide; For me it was like 1/12 to get one.

So why the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO would Anet get rid of this awesome stuff. Were they just bored one day and said, "Lets make the little RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOers mad by getting rid of all the fun things in this game. Lets make this game a REAL pain in the ass!"

I used to sell fur for 1k each, and got charr hides for like 20g each.

So all you old geezers (really, are we trying to show off or something?) have 1000K gold while all the new people have to scrounge to get a measly 1K.
This thread is a freaking joke. Sounds like a 'look at me, im 1337 leetz0r because I was around from 'teh' start. *yawns*.

Actually before the flame-fest, I can totally dig the premise.
I think many people forgot how fun the game was just playing it, rather than trying to be the ultimate character. And by the same token how much the new players are indoctrinated in the whole fast track approach of becoming uber.
Yes the game is only a few months old, and it seems to be falling into the trap many games 3x-4x as old do...a sorta dubious honor
